Final Impact
At the onset of me writing this post, my blog has tracked a total of 5,453 page views. Of these, 1,026 views came in the last month, the majority of the time I have been taking part in my personal Lent Blogging Challenge. The audience for those views was mostly from the United States, but also included people in Russia, Germany, Portugal, France, Poland, Canada, Switzerland, Romania, and Australia. These figures are fascinating to me!
I don't share these pieces of information to brag on myself at all. I'm just a poor boy from Michigan who has something to say every once in a while. I've been writing on here mostly to get my thoughts down and hopefully even help someone along the way. Never in my life did I think that anything I ever did would be anywhere near this far-reaching.
For those of you who started this 40-day journey with me through this challenge, thank you for sticking with me and encouraging me along the way. You've kept me going and brought me to this point of completion.
For those of you who gave likes, comments, shares, and suggestions along the way, thank you for keeping things interesting and challenging me to write something worthwhile.
For those who are just coming to WWTSW for the first time through this post, welcome! Feel free to look around at some of the previous posts. Some of them are utter nonsense, while others contain some of the depths of my soul.
This is by no means the last post this blog will see. Coming through my second 40-day challenge since Lent 2014, I'm beginning to develop a love for writing. I will not guarantee a frequency from this point forward, but I'm learning to be more open to expressing my thoughts, fighting against many fears that kept me from opening up in times past. As always, I'm open to thoughts, comments, and suggestions moving forward. While I can't use absolutely everything that comes to me, you never know what one word can inspire.
We all have something to say. God has a message for each of us to present to the world, and He knows the audience that needs to receive it. I pray that this blog and the writings therein will be used as His tool of encouragement, support, humor, or whatever else is needed at the time. This is the impact I want to have. What kind of impact are you hoping for when you speak up?
